Website Privacy Policy

Nothing you enter, because there is nowhere on this site to enter anything. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no account, and no chat widget. The site is a set of static pages.

Two ordinary technical things do happen when you visit, and neither identifies you by name:

• Server logs. The practice's hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to serve the site and protect it from abuse. The practice does not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
• One browser storage item. The site saves your scroll position in your browser so that refreshing a page returns you to where you were. It holds a page location and a number, never anything about you, it never leaves your device, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or session-recording software.

Both buttons on the contact page open the practice's secure patient portal, which is operated by a third-party scheduling service and runs on that service's own systems. What you enter there goes to the portal and to the practice — never through this website or anything else the practice operates.

This was a deliberate design choice. It means this website never handles health information, and there is no store of patient data here to protect or to lose. Information you provide through the portal is covered by the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices and by the portal provider's own privacy terms, which are shown to you when the portal opens.

Email and text messages are not secure. If you contact the office at info@summitspineassociates.com, please keep medical details out of it. Call the office or use the portal instead.

Serving these pages involves a small number of outside providers — for hosting, for the typefaces the site displays, for the map on the contact page, and for the appointment portal. Each necessarily receives your IP address and basic browser information, because that is unavoidable when a browser requests a file from another server, and the map may set cookies of its own. Each is governed by its own privacy policy rather than this one.

None of these providers is given information about you by the practice, and none is used for advertising or visitor tracking.

Links to other websites — a hospital, an insurer, a professional body — lead somewhere this policy does not reach. Their privacy practices are their own.

This website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Care for a minor patient is arranged by a parent or guardian through the office.

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Because the site collects so little, changes should be rare — and any change that adds collection will be described here before it starts.
